Feeding a family can get expensive and can be time consuming. Looking for ways to save money as well as time in the kitchen is the goal of many people. Finding dinner meals that are cheap and easy to prepare helps save money and gives you more time to spend with the family. You can have cheap and easy dinner meals every night of the week and still have a delicious variety of food choices.

10. California Medley Soup

California Medley Soup is one of the easiest one-pot meals. A couple bags of California Veggies, evaporated milk, and Velveeta cheese are the ingredients needed for this simple soup that can be made in a crock-pot or on the stove. Cut the cheese into cubes, add veggies and milk to pan, then add cheese. Simmer until cheese is melted. Add a loaf of French bread and you are ready to eat.

9. Mexican Lasagna

Mexican Lasagna is a delicious and easy meal. Brown a pound of ground beef and you need tortillas instead of pasta. Layer tortillas in pan; add any or all of the following in layers: refried beans, salsa, cheese, tomatoes, ground beef, onion, olives. Repeat layers and bake for about an hour at 350 degrees.  You can use chicken instead of ground beef.

8. Stuffed Peppers

Stuffed peppers are a cheap, easy, and filling dinner. You need peppers, ground beef, salsa, croutons, and rice if desired. Brown ground beef, drain, and add salsa and croutons. If using rice, cook rice then add to ground beef mixture.  Cut tops off peppers, scrape insides, and stuff then bake for about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. You can top with cheese and sour cream.

7. Pizza Bake

Pizza Bake is one of the easiest meals and lets you turn pizza into a casserole using ground beef, pizza sauce, 2 cups cooked rotini noodles, milk, and cheese. You can add olives, pepperoni, onion, and mushrooms or any other pizza topping you like. Brown one-pound ground beef and drain. Add sauce and other pizza toppings and simmer. In bowl, combine noodles, half cup of milk and 2 cups mozzarella cheese. Layer meat mixture and noodle mixture in greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes in 350-degree oven.

6. BLT

One of the easiest and quickest meals to cook is the BLT. You can cook bacon in the microwave so it takes less time. Toast bread in oven or toaster. Add mayo and cheese for a twist on the classic BLT along with you bacon, lettuce, and tomato.

5. Tuna Noodle Casserole

Tuna Noodle Casserole is a favorite and for some it is a comfort food. Use a 16-ounce bag of egg noodles that have been cooked and drained, 2 cans of tuna, a can of peas, and 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup with enough milk to mix. Mix everything in casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes in 350-degree oven.

4. Spaghetti

Another favorite yet cheap and easy dinner is Spaghetti. All you need is a 16-ounce package of spaghetti, a pound of ground beef, and a 26-ounce jar of spaghetti sauce. Brown ground beef and drain then add sauce and simmer. Boil pasta, drain, spoon onto plates and spoon sauce mixture over pasta. A salad or French bread finishes the meal.

3. English Muffin Pizzas

English Muffin Pizzas are a fun meal and easy to make.  You slice the English Muffins in half and lay on baking sheet. You need a jar of pizza sauce and cheese. You can use pepperoni, mushrooms, or olives as toppings also. Spoon the pizza sauce on muffin halves and add toppings and cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes in 350-degree oven.

2. Ramen Dinner Casserole

Ramen Dinner Casserole is a one of the meals that is very inexpensive and very easy to make. You need two or three packs of Ramen Noodles, 1 bag frozen veggies, 1 can Mushroom Soup, enough milk to mix, 2 cans of tuna and 8 ounces shredded cheese. Cook Ramen Noodles and drain then put them in casserole dish, and add the rest of the ingredients. Leave about half the bag of cheese for topping. You can use any type of cheese, chicken or ground beef instead of tuna and any type of veggies. You bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until cheese is melted.

The top cheap and easy meal is Macaroni and Cheese with hot dogs. Everyone loves Mac and Cheese! Hot dogs are easy and taste great with Mac and Cheese. One comfort food that just tastes great any day of the week.

Finding cheap and easy meals is possible and they can all be delicious. These meals will help you save on your grocery bill and will let you spend less time in the kitchen. You do not have to sacrifice taste when you save money and time.
